Its a fact. Halon and FM200 fire suppression system discharges occur more frequently by accident than fire. The largest culprit of agent discharges is refrigerant leaks from supporting air conditioning systems. With our SenTech SSG monitor, this costly scenario can be avoided.

The SSG monitor continuously samples the air for halogenated compounds. One monitor can sample up to 16 zones and can be field programmed for various refrigerant types. SenTech monitors can detect low PPM of halogenated compounds and alarm at three programmable levels for the earliest warning detection available today.

The SSG monitor can interface with fire suppression system panels, automatically aborting discharge due to a refrigerant leak. This not only prevents the costly replacement of agent, but also eliminates the critical downtime associated with fire suppression system discharge.

Fire Suppression System Tank Protection

The SSG monitoring system also detects leaking Halon and FM200 tanks.

Current regulation require suppression system tanks to be inspected semiannually. When a tank, or a mechanical fitting on a tank leaks, it can go undetected for up to six months. The SSG monitoring system was specifically designed to prevent leakage from going undetected. SenTech's advanced infrared technology is capable of detecting Halon 1301 or FM200.
